PROJECT: U.S. RELAUNCH NEW BUSINESS PITCH
THE CHALLENGE: Vikingfjord Vodka wanted to make a splash in the insanely crowded and competitive
U.S. vodka market with very little money.
THE SOLUTION: Leverage Vikingfjord’s main differentiator — it’s made from 100% pure Norwegian glacial water —
and do it in a way that will stand out in the vodka category, generate buzz, and get a lot of free publicity from news
outlets and online chatter.
THE IDEA: With tongues firmly in cheeks, Vikingfjord will encourage the world to contribute to global warming
so the glacier where Vikingfjord gets its water melts more and there’s consequently more vodka to go around.

The controversial nature of the campaign would undoubtedly spark debate between people who
think it’s funny and people who think global warming is no laughing matter. VIkingfjord would use its
social presence and brand site to provide a forum for both camps to express their points of view and
support their respective causes.
